Cape Point Route is thrilled to be introduce an exciting new venture called the GREEN BUS – a transport initiative that is responsible and efficient and offering a much needed service shuttling visitors to Cape Point Nature Reserve.
Get to the point without it costing the Earth. The Green Bus offers a daily shuttle service via the scenic Atlantic Ocean Coast via Hout Bay, Noordhoek and Simon’s Town to Cape Point.
Naturally this is GREAT news for visitors staying in Hout Bay, Noordhoek or Simon’s Town at any of the fabulous Guest houses, Hotels, Bed and Breakfast or self-catering establishments.
Experience it
Let Cape Town’s first tourism transport service with eco-credentials help you travel responsibly in a carbon-constricted world. The Green Bus operates on a B20 blend of BioDiesel  (used cooking oil!) and offers a daily shuttle service via the scenic Atlantic Ocean coast to Cape Point Nature Reserve. It departs from the CBD & picks travellers up in Hout Bay, Noordhoek & Simon’sTown Station. A must-do for every adventurous and sustainable traveller.
All Trips Include
• All trips include a return shuttle from pick up point to Cape Point Nature Reserve
• All trips include entry fees to the reserve and a 90 minute stop over in Cape Point Nature Reserve.

The Green Pass:
Chapman’s Peak Drive links the seaside villages of Hout Bay and Noordhoek on the scenic Atlantic Ocean side of the Cape Point Route. So not only do you explore Cape Point Nature Reserve but you can absorb the breath-taking scenery en route.
The Green Rail and Ride:
Few cities in the world can boast offering visitors an option whereby they can travel by rail along a spectacular coastline where they can spot whales (in season) from their carriage windows. Travellers can now buy their “tourism pass” at the Tourism Information Centre at Cape Town Station and travel by train to Simon’s Town on the Southern Line Tourism Route. The Green Bus will collect you at the station making this by far the most affordable way to get to the Point.
