So Valentine’s Day is the biggest night of the year for taking someone on a date.  It’s the biggest night of the year to wine and dine your loved one. It may be a little cheesy and a little commercial but let’s face it love is always worth celebrating and if you forget or ignore your loved one on Valentine’s Day- you may be eating alone next year!

Beat the crowds who are gathering on the Camps Bay strip and standing in queues at popular Cape Town city bowl eateries. Get out of the city: Head south!     There is no formal Valentine’s menu on offer but that’s how the Foodbarn rolls – you won’t find better value fine dining without the pretentious air than this barn at Noordhoek Farm Village. The food is famed for the natural taste, smell, texture, character and jolly good looks that Chef Franck conjures up.     Well known for breakfast and lunch and braai nights, Cafe Roux@Night is opening on Valentine’s Day and whilst we don’t know details of opening night on Valentine’s Day – this news is hot off the press and they have an excellent reputation for quality and consistency, so we are totally confident that night times at Cafe Roux will be just as romantic as the day.
