Accommodation with Kids

Planning a family holiday and feeling the pressure of finding accommodation suitable for kids, enough activities to keep the children occupied and ensure you have a holiday and time out as well.  Consider the Cape Peninsula which is family friendly with great accommodation options, with easy access to the airport and the city centre as well as the major attractions.

Travelling with your children can be heaps of fun but there are important questions when searching for family friendly accommodation – is there space for the kids to play outdoors, what facilities are available if the kids have to be indoors, is the swimming pool fenced and how far is it to the beach (or whatever you are looking for). We find most families tend to search for self catering accommodation as it allows a little more flexibility without potentially disturbing other guests when the baby wakes up at 2am and you need to stick a bottle in the microwave.

Here is a selection of some family friendly accommodation establishments on the Cape Point Route, with our suggestions of why they cater to families and who will go out of their way to make a holiday with your children pleasurable and hassle – free.

For suggestions on what to do with the kids – click here for our Top 10 list of Kids Stuff or if you encounter a rainy day – see our winter school holiday article with ideas of things to do with the kids.

Without further ado – here is the Cape Point Route travel guide to family friendly accommodation. This list is not fully comprehensive, there are many other options – too many to list here but these our Top 10 – feel free to recommend or suggest your favourites on the Cape Point Route.
